Standard calculation

The standard calculator divides the total compound amount by the total liquid volume. It then calculates the liquid measurement corresponding to the selected research amount.

Standard example

A 10 mg research compound combined with 2 mL of liquid produces a concentration of 5 mg/mL.

A selected amount of 1 mg corresponds to 0.20 mL, or approximately 20 units on a 1 mL / 100-unit laboratory measurement scale.

Nasal spray example

A total of 20 mg of research compound in 5 mL of liquid produces a concentration of 4 mg/mL, or 4,000 mcg/mL.

Using an atomizer with a nominal output of 0.10 mL per spray, each spray represents an estimated 400 mcg.

A 5 mL fill provides a theoretical maximum of approximately 50 sprays before accounting for priming and residual bottle loss.
